How to Look After Your Rug

Taking care of your rug is easy, and it makes sure that it stays looking its best for years to come. Some tips to help you maintain and clean your rug include:

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dirt and dust from your rug regularly. This prevents dirt from settling into the rug and keeps your rug looking fresh.

To even out wear and tear, move your rug around every six months.

If you spill something on your rug, don't wait. Dab the spill gently with a clean cloth to soak up as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing, as it can push the stain deeper into the rug.

If your rug is small enough, take it outside and beat it to remove dust. This is a simple way to refresh your rug.

Sunlight can cause colours to fade over time. If possible, put your rug somewhere where there is no direct sunlight.

If you notice loose threads, trim them carefully to prevent further damage. Do not pull on them, as it can damage the carpet.

If you have heavy furniture on your rug, move it slightly from time to time to stop the rug from getting squashed.
